Welcome to this week’s ✨free edition✨ of The Tinny Newsletter, where I break down powerful ideas to help you level up in life. Grab a drink, settle in, and let’s dive into the good stuff.
Safari Rally: The Toughest Race in the WRC
This past weekend, I attended the WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha. This was the fourth year the event series was in Kenya.I had no idea it was the toughest rally in the WRC, but after digging into it, I learned why:
Extreme terrain – Unforgiving roads that push even the best drivers to the limit.
Unpredictable weather – Dry one minute, pouring rain the next.
Wildlife hazards – Yes, actual zebras and giraffes on the track.
I spent most of my time at the kiddie zone, where the real fun was—PlayStation console games, bouncing castles, and even kids' karaoke. It was a 10/10 experience. I would recommend it.
Vibe Coding: The Future of Indie Hacking?
Let’s talk about something wild I came across this week: Vibe Coding.
It’s a trend on X where people build apps using AI tools only—no writing code by hand. Just prompt AI and get it to generate everything.
Levels started a challenge to build games with AI. He built a game in which 80% of the code was AI-generated, and in two weeks, he made $57,000 from it.
Sure, you could argue he has an audience, which helps, but let’s not ignore the bigger picture:
AI is changing the game.
Entry-level engineering jobs are disappearing.
You'll be left behind if you don’t learn how these tools work.
The best advice I’ve seen? Scratch your itch. Or better yet, solve other people’s problems and sell them the solution. That’s how you win.
The Curiosity Shift
This year, I’ve allowed myself to follow my curiosity rather than a strict list of goals. The shift from needing to complete everything to simply enjoying the journey has been life-changing.
It’s no longer about perfection or milestones—it’s about the curiosity that drives me forward. Letting go of "completion" pressure may also be the spark of freedom you need.
What curious rabbit holes could you follow today?
Tools You Should Know
If you’re curious about this, here are some tools people are using:
Bolt.new – Instant AI-powered app builder.
Loveable AI – AI for indie hackers.
Replit – The go-to place for AI coding experiments.
I’ve been tinkering with Claude AI, and while my first attempt at building a Flappy Bird clone wasn’t great, I can already see the potential. With a little more practice, I’m convinced I can get something working.
Three Must-Watch Videos
Here are three videos that blew my mind this week:
This guy built a LinkedIn Post Generator Web App with Claude 3.5 Sonnet in just 10 hours
He makes $750 a day 'Vibe Coding' Apps (using Replit, ChatGPT, and Upwork)
The Real Takeaway
Over the last few months, what has been the biggest thing I’ve learned about AI? Curiosity moves the needle.
These aren’t geniuses or coding wizards. They’re just curious enough to try. That’s what separates them from everyone else.
So, what are you curious about? What problem are you solving this week?
Hit reply and let me know. Have a fabulous week!
